Building a brand from scratch: from invisible startup to national press.
A logistics startup with no digital presence, grown into a recognised brand with 1.2M+ monthly impressions and coverage in The Economic Times.
The situation
A startup with a great product and zero digital presence.
When I joined TRUXCARGO, the brand had almost no digital identity. Social media was inconsistent, there was no structured email marketing, and the company wasn’t generating leads through digital channels.
The brief: build the brand, generate leads, and make TRUXCARGO visible. There was no marketing team besides me, so all of it landed on my desk.
What I did
Every channel, built from the ground up.
Social Media Strategy
Built a consistent content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook from scratch.
Brand Creative
Designed 80% of all brand creatives using Canva and Adobe Illustrator.
Performance Marketing
Set up Meta, Google, and LinkedIn ad campaigns with continuous A/B testing.
Email & WhatsApp
Built workflows from scratch: welcome sequences, nurture campaigns, broadcast messaging.
PR Strategy
Secured cover page of Enterprise World Magazine and national press coverage.
AI-Assisted Work
ChatGPT and Gemini for faster copy, planning and research.
The results
What changed in two years.
Key learnings
Three lessons.
- Daily posting did the heavy lifting. The impression growth came from good content every single day. There was no single viral post behind it.
- Email is underrated. The biggest conversion improvements came from fixing email workflows: better subject lines, cleaner segmentation, better send times.
- PR feeds digital. After The Economic Times piece, organic search and LinkedIn followers both spiked.
